THE ROLE:

STRIVE is currently hiring General Labourers for a well-established metal manufacturing company in Hamilton, ON. This is a hands-on production role supporting the shop during its busiest season.

Successful candidates will receive hands-on training from experienced shop leaders and will be responsible for moving materials throughout the shop, preparing metal products for painting, using power tools, and assisting with assembly as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, is mechanically inclined, and is comfortable performing heavy lifting and repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing while working with a friendly and supportive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Move metal parts, lockers, and materials throughout the shop
  • Sand and prepare metal surfaces for painting using power sanders
  • Assist with locker assembly and production support duties as required
  • Perform repetitive preparation and finishing tasks with attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and work instructions
  • Support the production team to help meet daily manufacturing targets


REQUIREMENTS:

  • HEAVY LIFTING repetitively
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or general labour experience preferred
  • Experience using power tools required
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with assembly work
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in a warm shop environment during the summer months
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and positive work ethic
  • CSA-approved safety footwear required
