Job description

Job Summary

The Operations Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for assisting the Product Lifecycle Manager with all aspects of daily material handling in a retail branch location. The Operations Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with the goals of our sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams. 


This is a full time position working 5, 8-hour shifts per week. Shift time is currently 5:00AM - 1:30PM.

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts and/or powered equipment 
  • Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks 
  • Communicate effectively with the Merchandising and Inventory teams to sufficiently stock products in correct merchandising locations within the branch 
  • Communicate effectively with the Product Lifecycle Manager to address any operational issues 
  • Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed 
  • Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals 
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store 
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management 
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
Education
  • This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.
