The Mixing Operator is responsible for the safe operation and loading of mixing equipment and for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards (Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Point, and Griffith Production System).As a Mixing Operator your responsibilities will include:Ability to safely operate production equipment.Verify and ensure accurate counts of raw materials needed to produce a blended product.Addition of raw materials to the blender following the manufacturing sequence on the formula.Discharging blended product from the blender using the prescribed screen size.Following specified customer sampling requirements of blended product.Filling out of daily schedule control to document production, quality, and performance.Cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment and tools, including work area.Disposal of trash and garbage containers.Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shiftSupporting British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit requirements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.Qualified candidates will have:Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shiftAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently, including the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; and the ability to communicate with individuals and small groups.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Working knowledge of Enterprise Resources Planning systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or RedZone or similar.Working overtime as needed throughout the week, up to and including Saturday work.Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shiftComfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicalsMust be able to work onsite in Alsip, Illinois locationCandidates must currently be at least 18 years of age AND possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
