The Material Planner ensures a timely and efficient supply of materials required for production. Responsibilities include determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external customer relations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Order all production material.
  • Track and communicate all expedites to crossfunctional teams until fully received.
  • Analyze all incoming shipments; monitor supplier performance and request countermeasures for delivery issues.
  • Investigate inventory and receipt of discrepancies, track and report all open invoices.
  • Monitor production parts on a continuous basis to prevent the occurrence of a shortage, and report to management in case of deficiencies.
  • Direct and assist suppliers to ensure material is shipped in accordance with the material released and that correct communication of shipment is attained.
  • Ensure proper balance out procedures are followed to minimize obsolescence.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies through problem solving methodologies with crossfunctional teams.
  • Monitor and correct all advanced shipping notice transmissions.
  • Investigate, track and dispose of obsolete material.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 or more years of experience in an
  • engineering, manufacturing or aviation environment. Masterโ€™s degree in supply chain management or MBA preferred

  • Prior experience in analyzing and interpreting technical procedures for planning functions.
  • Working knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Solid multitasking with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Indepth knowledge of Microsoft suite of products as well as ERP software.
