Status: Full Time Night Shift

Hours: 12-hour shift

Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month!)

Summary

These Lead positions are responsible to assist Bottle Shop Production Manager and Production Supervisors in training new employees in these areas along with ensuring plant processes in their assigned area is being met to help exceed customer expectations and continue to meet productivity goals.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure that the new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives this will include changes to technology and systems, changes to business processes and changes in organizational structure and job roles.
  • Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and ensure efficient understanding and training in order to achieve organizational proficiency to handle new initiatives and projects.
  • Manages, trains and schedules for production team for assigned shifts. Assists them with proper production crewing to maintain labor cost and efficiencies.
  • Coordinates with necessary departments to develop procedures on processes that affect production. Responsible for evaluating and continuous improvement of these processes.
  • Recommends and initiates personnel actions of hourly employees with leads, such as hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary measures.
  • Examines and monitors operations, systems and facilities.
  • Ensures the highest standards of safety and cleanliness are developed, met and maintained throughout the production facility, and comply with audit requirements.
  • Learns and applies new packaging procedures that are best for the company.
  • Assists and advises scheduling group on production schedule to ensure efficient use of production lines and personnel.
  • Attends department head meetings to keep group apprised of any issues or concerns in the production area.
  • Attends and provides training on new processes and equipment. This may include self study.
  • Acts as liaison for production processes for customer and vendor visits.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


What You Need to Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret in English.
  • Have a strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
  • Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
  • Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
  • 2-3 yearsโ€™ experience in a high speed Production environment
  • Previous lead/management experience


Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Extended standing on hard surfaces.
  • Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
  • Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
  • Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands, feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
  • Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
