PRODUCTION MANAGER

Are you a proven manufacturing leader who knows how to develop supervisors, improve operations, and build high-performing teams? Do you thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments where safety, quality, and efficiency all matter equally? If you're passionate about leading people, solving operational challenges, and delivering results, Palermo's has an opportunity for you.

We're looking for a Production Manager to lead production operations at our flagship Canal Street facility. In this role, you'll provide leadership to Production Supervisors, partner across departments, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring exceptional performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Who You'll Work For...

While most companies that sell pizza have no real connection to Italy, Palermo's passion for food and family reaches all the way back to the country where pizza was born. "Papa Palermo" carried cherished family recipes from Sicily to America, laying the foundation for what has become one of the fastest-growing frozen pizza manufacturers in the country.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. From robotic production lines to cutting-edge manufacturing technology, we're constantly investing in our people and our processes to deliver products consumers love.

What You'll Do...
  • Lead production operations across multiple shifts or production areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors while building accountability and leadership capability throughout the organization.
  • Drive key operational metrics including safety, quality, productivity, labor efficiency, throughput, and cost.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Bakery, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee production planning, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP to manage production reporting, inventory transactions, work order completion, material consumption, and production scheduling.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing processes using Lean principles.
  • Foster a culture built on safety, teamwork, accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.
You'll Do Your Best Work Here If You...
  • Enjoy leading leaders and helping others grow.
  • Hold yourself and your team accountable for achieving ambitious goals.
  • Make decisions using data while remaining people-focused.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships across departments to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Believe that safety, quality, and continuous improvement are non-negotiable.
What You'll Bring...
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading supervisors, managers, or other frontline leaders.
  • Food manufacturing or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience driving operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or similar manufacturing systems is a plus.
Where You'll Work...

Our Canal Street facility serves as Palermo's headquarters and flagship manufacturing facility, located in Milwaukee's Menomonee River Valley.

This state-of-the-art operation features advanced manufacturing technology, automated packaging systems, an on-site bakery, and 24-hour production and distribution—all working together to produce millions of premium frozen pizzas enjoyed across the country.

Perks...
  • 20 FREE pizzas every month
  • Career growth and leadership development opportunities
  • Competitive salary with bonus opportunity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits beginning the 1st of the month following hire
  • 401(k) & Roth 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting
  • Paid Time Off plus a Floating Holiday
  • Daily Pay available
  • Family-owned company with a people-first culture
Why You'll Love It Here...

At Palermo's, you'll have the opportunity to make a measurable impact every day. You'll lead talented teams, influence operational strategy, and help shape the future of one of America's fastest-growing frozen pizza manufacturers. If you're ready to develop leaders, improve processes, and build a culture of excellence, we'd love to meet you.
