Arcosa Wind Towersis seeking a Production Manager. As the Production Manager, you will support a positive safety culture by planning and directing production activities and staff, you will lead the team in the manufacturing process to ensure quality and timely production.

Job Location:Newton, IA

What you'll do:

  • Ensures that safety, health, and environmental legal and company standards are complied with, emphasizing safety as a top priority
  • Monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards by developing and reviewing reports and metrics
  • Coordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develops systems and sets performance targets and measures that appropriately assess the performance of the plant and direct reports, and reviews progress to ensure achievement of targets
  • Train, instruct and direct work activities of employees; identify succession role requirements and high potential talent, and actively trains key talent
  • Monitors schedule to accomplish manufacturing goals
  • Demonstrate and model the highest ethical standards and treat all employees and coworkers with dignity and respect. Foster a culture that is positive and engaging for all employees
  • Exercises independent judgment
  • Fill-in as needed so that production goals can be met
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role
  • 3-year knowledge of welding, assembly or paint preferred
  • Read, write and speak proficiently in English
  • Have a working knowledge of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering and budgeting/expense management strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Full-time position, M-F,Mandatory OT can be required including weekends
  • Safety sensitive role
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
  • This position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
  • This position may require infrequent travel, including operation of a company vehicle
