Reports to:      General Manager

Position Summary

The Production Manager leads all manufacturing operations for our small‐diameter tubing assembly operation, with a strong focus on high‐mix/low‐volume production. This role requires a decisive, adaptable leader who excels at developing people, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast‐changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily HMLV operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Drive a safety‐first culture with proactive hazard prevention to ensure that we meet local, state, and federal health & safety requirements/guidelines to provide a safe and productive working environment for our employees
  • Solve production issues quickly using structured analysis and cross‐functional teamwork
  • Manage frequent changeovers and ensure teams execute them efficiently
  • Optimize production flow across multiple product families and routing paths
  • Develop a cross‐trained workforce to maintain flexibility and reduce bottlenecks
  • Oversee scheduling & capacity planning to support short lead times and variable demand
  • Utilize ERP system to issue and track work orders, prioritize production schedules to meet due dates, process WIP transactions at each manufacturing stage, verify material consumption and labor charges, and ensure accurate reporting of shop floor employee time and production activity
  • Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and downtime reduction
  • Lead Lean & CI initiatives including 5S, PFEP, and standard work
  • Support APQP and new product introduction in a high‐variety environment
  • Evaluate capital equipment needs to improve flexibility and throughput
  • Strengthen systems & procedures for consistency across product variations

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Leadership experience in HMLV or precision‐component manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge of tubing fabrication including bending, forming, cutting, and assembly
  • Familiarity with fabrication equipment such as CNC benders, end‐formers, and welders
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
  • Lean & 5S experience tailored to HMLV environments
  • ERP/MRP proficiency with dynamic scheduling

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

·         Minimum of 3 yrs leading a tubing, or HMLV manufacturing operation in a management role
