LOCATION:  Lake County areas

Job Summary / Purpose:

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for organizing people and material to build quality homes on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest caliber of customer relations by providing prompt response and follow-up (within 24 hours) and providing warranted service promptly.  This is a trainee position and emphasis should be to reach Project Manager level within the allotted 12 to 18-month time frame. This employee will be expected to perform some manual labor. The job summary/purpose may change due to management decision regarding changes in technology, techniques or Maronda’s core focus.

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to: Senior Project Manager, and/or Project Manager, and Production Manager
  • Supervises: Monitors daily activities of Subcontractors

Authority to:

  • make a subcontractor hiring recommendation 
  • make a subcontractor firing recommendation 
  • remove anyone from a jobsite for illegal or unsafe acts or illegal trespass. 
  • not authorized to approve any rate in excess of Maronda’s rate without written permission of Production Manager, or supervising Project Manager.

Education, Skills and / or Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications are essential and mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational skills are indispensable.
  • Efficiently use computer programs and applications.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s license and personal vehicle (truck) & auto insurance with at least state minimum coverage

Physical Requirments/Work Conditions

  • Required to work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Required to work office or home office environment
  • Ability to bend, kneel, walk for significant periods of time.
  • Physically able lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
