Manufacturing Manager

Injection Molding | Leadership Development | Path to Plant Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a wellโ€‘established plastics manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations at a growing injection molding facility.

This is much more than a traditional production management role. This hire is a succession plan to develop into the Plant Manager role in 4 years. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of running a manufacturing operation while leading daily production.

Responsibilities
  • Lead dayโ€‘toโ€‘day production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery and productivity objectives.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.
  • Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and production personnel.
  • Optimize labor utilization, workflow and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Customer Service to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Monitor production metrics including efficiency, scrap, quality and labor performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership experience within an injection molding manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of injection molding processes, tooling and production operations.
  • Experience leading supervisors and production teams.
  • Background implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to develop people while driving operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and problemโ€‘solving skills.
Compensation
  • Base salary: $140,000-$170,000
