Job Summary:
Reporting to Plant Manager, employee directs a staff of employees and shift supervisors to run the plant daily safely, effectively, and efficiently. The plant set-up to complete runs of product line; the maintenance of finished product quality control; and the safety of the plant operations at all times. Will oversee mold changes, inspecting molds for defects and need for cleaning. Will make daily production reports. Will set up off shifts, meeting with shift supervisors daily.
Will evaluate materials for production, will make daily production reports, will conduct and document regular safety inspections, noting and correcting any hazards. Will oversee discipline of employees and will discipline supervision when necessary. During Plant Manager absences, will create and receive purchase orders, create, and close work orders, and will revise sales order report to make necessary mold changes.
Job Responsibilities:
  • To ensure all employees and shift supervisors do their jobs safely, effectively, and efficiently.
  • To maintain quality control and inventory sufficient for shipping needs.
  • To conduct and document safety training, safety meetings and safety inspections.
  • To ensure plant is kept in safe, efficient running order.
  • To maintain harmonious labor relations in plant.
  • Perform various processing tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, drawings, prints, specifications and other pertinent information
  • Review and analyze a variety of process control data, documents and reports
  • Consult with all shift supervisors to ensure that specified product criteria are suitable for the proposed application
  • Plan, conduct or coordinate relatively straight forward troubleshooting analyses to develop and implement total process control
  • Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences
  • Supervising and leading all mold set up and product processing operations to ensure 100% compliance to quality and efficiency standards.
