Job description

Position Summary: The Production Specialist is responsible for the coordination and administration of the audio, video, and lighting needs of a Liberty campus as well as oversight to all production volunteers. This position is tasked with the responsibility of creating and enhancing production elements that deliver a technically cohesive and distraction free worship service.

Ministry Department:  Production

Position Reports To: Regional Production Manager

Hours: This is an 8-12-hour part-time position. Permission to exceed 12 hours in a week must be given by the Creative Pastor. Attendance at all Sunday and Wednesday services and special events is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Lead, recruit, and train relevant Production Life Team members (volunteers), keeping the team members informed, trained and ready to serve.
  2. Communicate with the Worship Director and the Campus Pastor to ensure all elements of services and special events are covered.
  3. Oversee the implementation and programming of all media elements (lyrics, screen content, lighting programming, and audio repatching as needed etc.) for the local campus weekend services and special events in a manner that is consistent with Liberty's model and methods.
  4. Develop the Production Life Team to continually train new leaders and cross train current team members in various positions.
  5. Create and distribute all required documentation (cue sheets, volunteer schedules, information sheets, work instructions) for services, rehearsals, and special events.
  6. Function as a coordinator for activities, rehearsals, live production; ensuring issues are resolved quickly and with minimal negative impact on campus weekend services and special events.
  7. Work with their Regional Production Manager to maintain all campus production ministry equipment and supplies (batteries, bulbs, etc.)
  8. Work with Liberty Students and Liberty Kids at the local campus to make sure their midweek services are staffed.
  9. Work with Liberty Students and Liberty Kids to train up volunteers within their areas to operate production equipment in their services.
  10. Oversee and maintain the production equipment in students and kids’ rooms.

  2. Faithfully maintain discretion and effectively deal with sensitive and/or confidential information of a written and spoken nature.
  3. Use independent judgment to determine work priorities.
  4. Perform other related duties as assigned by their supervisor(s).
  5. Is a loyal staff member by cooperating and following church leadership.
  6. Follow Liberty’s policies and procedures.
  7. Work in coordination with the overall mission, goals and objectives of the church which are summarized by the mission statement “Changing Lives, Communities and the World for Jesus Christ.”
