Job description

As the Production Manager, you will perform a wide range of duties related to the physical production of signs, which includes production and installation scheduling, project planning, inventory management, quality assurance, and supervising department personnel. You will use your leadership skills to ensure the Production team completes all projects on time and with the highest quality while being a team player and providing support for all functions as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES          

  • Prioritizes workflow, communicates with production staff daily, and supervises the production process
  • Schedules production board and installation schedule daily
  • Performs quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction
  • Communicates with other employees to ensure production is completed on time and with high quality
  • Manages the inventory purchasing and storage process
  • Supervises basic installations and completes more advanced installations
  • Assesses and maintains current technology and works with franchise partner to investigate and potentially introduce new technology and equipment to staff
  • Trains employees on equipment, tools, and efficiency-building methods
  • Serves as a backup for overflow production needs
  • Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Performs other duties as needed, such as answering the phone, helping at the front counter, consulting with customers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS            

  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred
  • Previous sign or print industry experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer and internet skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 or more pounds
  • Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
  • Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
  • Able to use light power equipment
  • Fork lift experience preferred
  • Construction experience 
  • Woodworking/cabinet making experience helpful
