Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Set up, operate, and tend to the Special Converting Machine.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate Schafer Rewinder, T&P Punching Unit and Cevenini
Identify issues associated with Schafer, T&P Punching Unit & Cevenini
Properly utilize the blue sticker procedure
Work within the Business Express Software (BE) to book out packaging material
Use the automatic booking system within BE (Converting KBS, Converting GP, and cut down tool booking)
Troubleshoot booking errors within BE
Perform quality checks on converted rolls
Conduct re-boxing of returned rolls
Drives and operates PIT to load/unload product from machine, trash removal and movement of material (boxes, cores, finished goods, etc.)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows prescribed safety regulations.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program
Perform other duties as assigned by the Converting Supervisor and Production Director or other member of management team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma
Strong written and oral English communication skills required
Work Experience:
PC skills
Required forklift certification
Previous experience operating machinery a plus
Aptitudes & Characteristics:
Must have a positive can do attitude
Must be a fast learner, driven and self-motivated; strive towards continuous improvement
Ability to work with little to no supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 85 lbs. regularly and up to 200 lbs. occasionally with assistance
Required ability to stand for extended periods of time;
Must be able to walk, stretch, reach, crawl and grasp objects;
Required to bend, stoop, climb, crawl or kneel occasionally;
Ability to follow directions
