Join a Growing Manufacturing Team

Openwork is partnering with an established manufacturing company to hire an experienced Production Line Supervisor. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing, production supervision, equipment troubleshooting, and team-development experience.

We're looking for someone who can lead by example while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and accountability.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals
  • Manage production schedules, workflow, priorities, and performance
  • Monitor production metrics and resolve issues affecting productivity
  • Coach, mentor, evaluate, and develop production employees
  • Set clear expectations and address performance concerns professionally
  • Promote cross-training and develop future team leaders
  • Troubleshoot production equipment and help minimize downtime
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and support preventive maintenance
  • Partner with Maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer Service
  • Improve workflow, efficiency, workstation organization, and equipment reliability
  • Reduce waste, downtime, and unnecessary movement
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain OSHA, safety, and quality standards
  • Conduct safety observations and support quality investigations
  • Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and respect
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience leading or supervising production teams
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
  • Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs
  • Proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and accountability
Preferred Experience
  • HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, industrial equipment, or machinery manufacturing
  • CNC-controlled fabrication equipment
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
  • Welding, fabrication, or assembly
  • ERP/MRP manufacturing systems
  • Forklift certification

Experience with the following is preferred but not required:

  • Turmatic Flow Water Jet Systems
  • Accurpress CNC Press Brakes
  • AMADA fabrication equipment
  • Copper tube bending machines
