Job description

The Boathouse, part of the Bean Restaurant Group family of restaurants, is one of the premier waterfront dining destinations on the beautiful Connecticut River. Our menu focuses on New England Classics as well as seasonal menu offerings crafted by Chef Gesner Lefevre.

The Boathouse is looking for a highly skilled Line Cook to join our team. Pay starts at $19 an hour! The ideal candidate is passionate about food and cooking, has a strong desire to learn, and will have an understanding of what it takes to execute exceptional food in a high volume atmosphere. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, who enjoys working with a close-knit team, and who takes pride in producing incredible product and an overall outstanding guest experience.

Pay rate is competitive based on exeprience. Line cook will be responsible for all duties pertaining to the kitchen.

  • Prepare and cook foods according to recipes and customer needs.
  • Monitor food quality and maintain food safety and cleanliness regulations.
  • Conform to standard kitchen safety protocols.
  • Meet all operating procedures established by the restaurant management.
  • Answer customer questions about menu items.
  • Manage the preparation and cooking of foods, following recipes and using proper techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for food

  • Two years experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
