Title: Transmission Production Supervisor

Department: Transmission (W6)

Reports To: Director of Operations (W1)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM; Friday hours are scheduled based on production needs, with as much advance notice as possible.

Position Summary

The Transmission Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily leadership, coordination, and performance of the Transmission Production Line. This role oversees workflow planning, staff supervision, and operational execution to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.

The Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops team capability, and ensures alignment with company policies and production goals. This position has full responsibility for departmental staffing, performance management, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the Transmission Production Line to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, safety, and profitability

· Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance rebuild processes and maximize product quality and cost-effectiveness

· Balance quality, output, cost control, safety, and team morale to achieve optimal operational performance

· Provide coaching, training, and development to employees; support hiring decisions and resolve personnel issues through effective problem-solving

· Collaborate with Sales, Quality/Warranty, Engineering, Production Planning, and all other related areas of Operations to forecast workload and develop production schedules that meet customer demands

· Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support uninterrupted production

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in remanufacturing or heavy-duty equipment

· Proven leadership experience in a plant or operations environment

· Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools

· Experience with ERP systems and production planning

· Demonstrated financial and business acumen

· Project Management: Effectively plans, coordinates, and executes production schedules and departmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational goals and quality standards

· Time Management: Prioritizes tasks and resources efficiently to meet production targets while minimizing downtime and delays
