Job description

Position: Production Team Members
Location: Newark, Ohio
Department: Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Shift: Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:45am
Pay: $15.50/hr
JOB SUMMARY
This entry-level position functions as a flexible resource throughout the department to ensure daily production. This team member works in all major production positions as needed; they must be flexible and adaptable to meet the quickly changing needs of the operation. This role is also responsible for visually inspecting and removing finished parts from a moving production line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Performs a wide range of job responsibilities in all production areas as needed
  • Properly removes all finished parts from the row.
  • Consistently picks-out and removes defects from a moving line.
  • Follows all standard work procedures.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Differentiates between scrap defects and re-run defects
  • Packs finished parts efficiently
  • Any other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to use both hands to pick-up and manipulate small parts simultaneously
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice or on weekends
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, standing or walking most of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Can successfully work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and take direction from others
  • Ability to differentiate between different sizes, shapes, styles and colors
  • Ability to read/set scales
