Job description

The Production Associate reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Responsibilities include manufacturing parts as trained to produce a quality product in the appropriate quantity and correct time frame, while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture product according to operation standards and on the job training
  • Report all unsafe conditions and safety violations to immediate Supervisor/Coordinator/Lead
  • Ensure that nonconforming product is handled appropriately according to operation standards and system procedures
  • Work with Supervisor/Coordinator/Line Lead to define strategies for continuous improvements to reduce defects/scrap
  • Obey all safety rules and policies
  • Flexibility to work within different production areas is a requirement of all Production Associates
  • Report production equipment failure to Supervisor/Coordinator/Line Lead
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to produce a defect free product in designated time frame

Other responsibilities as defined by the Supervisor:
  • Production Associates are expected to perform all other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor regardless of production line/area assignment.

Education: The Production Associate position requires no specific education requirements. Must have good attendance, and at a minimum speak limited English. Specific training to improve job skills will be discussed during each performance review.Professional: Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus but not requiredPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
