Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for daily executing of our service commitment and identifying customer's needs as well as outlining specific goals to meet those needs.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinates and executes timely set up of new customers in the program environment. Follows up on backorders and pre-packing products.
  • Maintains a current and accurate base of product knowledge and applies that knowledge when servicing customers.
  • Serves as point of contact for escalating issues or activities that the customer encounters during product implementation and expedites the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Maintains itinerary/site visit log, tracks visits/services, and identifies patterns. Reviews with manager weekly to discuss metrics and deliverables.
  • Promotes the product line and services, and supports marketing campaigns. Serves as a subject-matter expert for vending solutions.
  • Conducts weekly review with manager to discuss metrics and deliverables and attends customer meetings.
  • Supports customers in keeping on-site services organized and clean, processes orders in the system, picks/packs orders, follows up on backorders, and pre-packs product.
  • Contributes to the maintenance of lasting relationships with customers through knowledgeable communication and proactively resolves issues and identifies opportunities to innovate, improve service, and reduce costs.

Nature and Scope

  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.
  • None.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

  • 1+ years of sales or account management experience.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and acceptable motor vehicle record to meet carrier requirements.
  • Applicant must be willing and able to perform some amount of physical work such as racking and shelf building, putting away stock, cleaning and organizing construction and industrial work environments.
