Role Description

As a Quality Control Manager at Borg Design Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of all machined parts produced by our team. This role is based in Hudson, MA and is a full-time, on-site position. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include hands on measuring of machined parts and components while managing the workflow through QC as well as managing the inspection team’s priorities. Other responsibilities include implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and standards, creating, preparing and submitting FAI to customers, training, scheduling and supervising quality control staff, analyzing production and quality control reports, and investigating and resolving problems with suppliers, customers, and internal production teams.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control or quality management within a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience in reading mechanical blueprints and using measuring tools like, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pins, thread gages etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards
  • Experience in training and supervising quality control staff
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production and quality control reports and identify areas for improvement
  • Identifying, documenting, and helping to resolve non-conformances and deviations.
  • Participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal production teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards is a plus
  • Experience with CNC machining is a plus
