Our next Inventory Supervisor will manage and oversee the inventory of medicated (WIP) products and finished goods inventory. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate regulatory compliance for internal and state reporting. The Inventory Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, of cannabis production and products inventory to meet both internal and legal requirements. 
 
 
To be blunt, this role will be about (Responsibilities):
  • Oversee the entire inventory process for medicated products.
  • Maintain accurate records of product quantities, including tracking batches, expiration dates, and product movements in inventory tracking system.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of all production activities.
  • Focus on process efficiencies and conducting regular system audits to ensure Wherefour, Metrc, and physicals all match.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to address any discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure production inventory is tested.
  • Generate regular reports for internal and state reporting purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in cannabis regulations and update inventory procedures accordingly.
  • Collaborate with compliance manager to conduct periodic audits and address any compliance issues.
  • First point of contact for inventory controls, with regular communication between accounting, internal audit, and external audit teams.
  • Utilize inventory management software to maintain real-time inventory data and streamline reporting processes.
  • Train and assist team members in using inventory management tools effectively.
  • This position will report to Operations Finance Manager or state director
  • Supervise and lead a team consisting of “Inventory and Testing Leads” and “Inventory Specialists”, providing guidance and support. This includes dotted line responsibility for the warehouse lead for inventory control.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the staff is knowledgeable about inventory management procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Approved inventory teams timesheets and PTO request.
  • Provide performance counseling and end of year review of inventory team,
  • Interview and hire for open inventory tech and lead positions.
To be successful in this role we know you’ll need( Requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree required, recommended in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field but not required
  • Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a regulated industry such as cannabis. Metrc experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience creating and/or implementing process changes and improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes
  • Supply Chain and/or Internal Audit experience is a plus

Environmental Factors:
This position requires working in an environment that has a high amount of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may have exposure to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments.  Employees are required to wear protective gear and have the option to wear eye and ear protection. Certain areas of the facility use harsh chemicals for cleaning such as bleach and can have repetitive movements. Employees should be comfortable and capable of working under all of the above conditions.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50lbs
- Capable of sitting, standing kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time
- Capable of using hands and fingers to touch, handle, feel and pick
- Ability to work with hazardous chemicals (butane, propane, etc.) following strict safety guidelines
- Utilize chemicals (such as bleach) to clean and maintain facility/equipment
- Must wear PPE (clothing protection), close-toed non-slip shoes, and optional ear/eye protection
