Job description

W.B. Guimarin and Co. is currently seeking a dynamic, results oriented, seasoned sales engineer with 5+ years of experience in negotiation and sales of mechanical projects or engineered products to owners, manufacturers and design build general contractors. This individual will be responsible to obtain, coordinate design and deliver successful negotiated, design build, design assist and direct for owner mechanical projects that have potential for long term repeat or service business through superior customer satisfaction.


Position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five or more years of sales in the HVAC industry. Professional engineering license is preferred or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 2 years. Position requires a combination of outstanding communication skills with technical skills. Individuals must be self motivated and a self starter. This individual will work with upper management to expand our design build construction opportunities throughout South Carolina. 


SALES ENIGNEER JOB DUTIES

  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and existing customers including owners, manufacturers, healthcare institutions and general contractors.
  • Establishes new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.
  • Prepares cost estimates for engineered solutions by preparing conceptual drawings, studying plans and related customer documents; consulting with engineers and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Prepare professional proposals and presentations that are tailored to customer's needs and effectively communicate proposed solutions.
  • Deliver engineered solutions to customer by providing safe and efficient project management and execution of proposed solutions by effectively communicating project needs to the Director of Construction and construction team members.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
