Description
TL/DR:
As a Product Manager you will guide and drive strategies for our Payments team. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of payment implementation specialists, programmers, designers and stakeholders to execute payment strategies for the product. Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders you will help launch improvements to payments to improve the overall customer and internal experience. 

The nitty-gritty:
  • Lead product planning and execution efforts for the payments squad including defining roadmap, features and requirements.
  • Represent and communicate payments product strategy to key stakeholders.
  • Work with the a cross functional team of payment implementation specialists, designers, programmers to execute payments product roadmap initiatives
  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog balancing requirements of all stakeholders.
  • Responsible for establishing and analyzing success metrics for payments and new features released to track uptake and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess product development sprints and enhancement opportunities while monitoring sprint including tracking team velocity.
  • Leverage team members and resources to execute a product roadmap as quickly as possible; iterating on timelines that make sense.
  • Lead by example and empower others to be effective, process-driven, accountable, and autonomous.
  • Execute and support improvement of Agile processes.
  • Foster a safe environment for your team where transparency and candid communication is encouraged.
  • Support QA processes to ensure the product meets goals and quality standards.
  • Liaise with external third party payment providers to support integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to effectively deliver on Rivalry’s product strategy.

Your stats:
  • 5+ years of product management / ownership experience.
  • Experience working with payments in a regulated environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating that into the product development process, user experience and design.
  • Experience managing and maintaining the product development lifecycle in platforms such as Jira or other similar software.
  • Experience building and launching products with engineering teams.
  • Experience and interest in diving deep into data analysis to analyze impact of product changes and support product decision making.
  • Strong investigation, prioritization, negotiation and organization skills.
  • Strong and comfortable in working with others remotely.
  • Experience working with external vendors to deliver on a solution.
  • Experience working with agile development teams.
  • Experience working with payment aggregators and payment service providers an asset
  • Experience working with payment systems that process money in and out
  • English fluency.
