Salary Range: $62,000 - $72,000

This position will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with the Corporate Materials Manager.

Position Summary

The Production Control Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Winholt Equipment’s manufacturing operations by planning, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to drive efficiency and ensure on-time customer delivery. This position is responsible for managing job releases within the Epicor ERP system, generating and distributing job travelers, and aligning production activities with customer orders and demand. Working closely with the Materials team, the coordinator verifies material availability to support uninterrupted workflow across the shop floor. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support Winholt’s commitment to quality and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust the master production schedule in collaboration with Production leadership, optimizing job sequencing based on labor, machine capacity, and material availability while communicating priorities, changes, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Create, review, and release production jobs in Epicor ERP aligned with demand, including generating accurate job travelers (BOMs, routings, revisions) and ensuring all system data, due dates, and order details remain accurate and up to date.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Production and Materials, Inventory, and Procurement teams by confirming material availability prior to job release, proactively managing shortages, and coordinating expedites, substitutions, or alternative solutions as needed.
  • Monitor production execution by tracking WIP, job progress, completions, and labor reporting to maintain schedule accuracy, while supporting resolution of production issues such as material constraints, rework, ECOs, and delays.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, schedule adherence, WIP aging, job release accuracy) and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency, material flow, and overall production performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in production control, scheduling, or planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Epicor ERP experience preferred (job release, BOM/routing review, MRP/MPS, job travelers, shortage management).
  • Strong understanding of MRP concepts, production processes, and manufacturing workflow.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with ERP reports.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
