Job description

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Area Manager and through mentoring from individual Plant Managers, the PMT is responsible for learning to perform every position at the plant correctly and efficiently. The PMT must also familiarize himself with all aspects of people management. Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Control flow of the production process, and ensure all the work is assigned and actively produced
  • Delegate tasks and oversee the performance of the crew leads
  • Monitor the efficiency metrics, and take action when standard is not met
  • Train, coach, mentor, and communicate with the crew leads
  • Responsible for the quality control
  • Take immediate action to deficiencies
  • Batch projects and release jobs to the shop
  • Adhere to and enforce 84 Components' Safety Standards
  • Adhere to and enforce 84 Components' Policies and Procedures
  • Work Safely with Quality and Efficiency
  • Dress in appropriate 84 Lumber Uniform and adhere to appearance standards
  • Learn how to perform every position in the plant efficiently and correctly
  • Learn how to perform management duties
  • Familiarize self with current production practices and learn to form new ones
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 2 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training
