The Opportunity:
Based in Flint, Michigan, the Production Team Leader oversees three to four production lines, Line Leads, and their employees to ensure an efficient assembly of customer orders.
Hours: Mon - Fri, 10:30pm-7am (overtime and weekends as needed)
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Location: Flint, MI 48505
How you will impact Packaging Solutions Smurfit Westrock:
  • Oversee three to four Line Leads and production lines
  • Run routine reports, queries, and process orders through the fulfillment system
  • Research and resolve order irregularities and processing issues
  • Identify and track materials used in production
  • Maintain all inventory control practices for assigned fulfillment location(s)
  • Verify physical stock counts and investigate and report reasons for variances prior to adjusting system counts
  • Prepare reports such as open orders, inventory balances, and shortages
  • Compare physical inventories to office records or compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory levels
  • Develop and maintain quality and productivity metrics and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance warehouse performance
  • Quickly identify and communicate issues to branch and inventory management
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
  • Operate a forklift as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience leading a crew in a production or distribution environment
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Basic computer skills
