Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Sr Associate, Production Control to join our growing team at the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segments Missile Solutions Sector Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF- South) located in Toney, AL.   

In this role, you will be part of our Scheduling and Material Planning organization which plays a key role from proposal to product delivery company wide. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual that has a high level of ability to assess requirements and make data driven decisions.  Candidates will work in a dynamic position and interface directly with Internal and External customers across a diverse product range. This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform inventory control, cycle counts, and manage min/max levels.
  • Release Supplier Requisitions and Shop Orders for both Bill of Material (BOM) and independent demand requirements.
  • Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out.
  • Work collaboratively with Integrated Product Team (IPT) to address issues, solve problems and strategize to ensure we are meeting our customer commitments.  
  • Ability to support cross functional teams.
  • Managing small projects to meet business needs.
  • Travel: 20% between local facilities.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Inventory Management experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior Inventory Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior Inventory Management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle, Delmia, or Windchill experience is preferred.
  • Ability to use technical knowledge and experience to evaluate plans, processes and results of the supporting team.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, strong leadership skills, and interpreting program management, engineering and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment with guidance.
  • Experience in leading, encouraging, reviewing, and critiquing work of supporting team members to maximize program success.
  • Capable of defining and negotiating task objectives, scope description and completion criteria for specific and broad activities as well. 
  • Working capability in the use of Microsoft Office and other applicable software.
