Salary Range: $21.61 per hour
Vacancy Type: Seasonal Workers
Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift

Travel: Minimal

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: 

As a member of the Production team, You'll report to the Production Supervisors. The Production Associate must work in a safe and efficient manner and comply with Johnson Electric’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and Quality Systems. Must become knowledgeable, proficient and work with SPS, 5S, and CI activities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Loading and unloading product using safe lifting and operating techniques

  • Recognizing and identifying process defects that are intermittent or consistent including burrs, chips and cracks. Reporting these non-conformances to Team Leader and Q.A.

  • Reading and interpreting process sheets and SWI’s

  • Understanding and following procedure for traceability tags

  • Identifying and reporting safety hazards i.e. oil/water spills

  • Maintain daily communication with other PA’s within shift and other shifts to maintain uninterrupted production flow

  • Keeping work area organized, clean and ensuring that product is located in correct spot.

  • Using and interpreting designated measuring systems to inspect parts according to process sheet requirements.

  • Producing desired quantity of product according to strict quality specifications

  • Perform various similar and related duties as required

  • Able to use and accurately interpret designated measuring systems for parts inspection, according to process sheet requirements. Able to demonstrate thorough understanding of process sheets and is able to follow consistently

  • Understands and follows traceability procedures. Familiar with specific products and their process requirements

  • This position requires a team player with the ability to work with others in a team-based environment, be involved in a participatory process and make decisions within the team

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Adheres to Johnson Electric’s policies and procedures

  • Adheres and supports Johnson Electric’s Safety and Environmental policies and practices

  • Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 are conformed to

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent a requisite.

Technical & Skill Requirements:

  • Successful Experience in the automotive industry an asset

  • Positive attitude and passion to exceed all quality and quantity specifications

  • Demonstrated acceptable level of English and Mathematical skills.

  • Endurance, flexibility and energy level must be high.

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
