Job Description

The Inventory Control Associate, Sr. is responsible for independently coordinating and executing various duties related to managing the in-house inventory, including: interacting with various managers, supervisors, coworkers and external contacts as needed to complete assigned tasks, assuming ownership of issue resolution on more complex issues and offers assistance and guidance to less experienced staff, and proactively involving management or other departments as needed to ensure good communication and awareness as necessary. Additionally, this position monitors in-house inventory and helps to update management and customers on status of consigned material. 

  • Maintains inventory of purchased and in-house manufactured items
  • Schedules daily/weekly cycle counting tasks
  • Researches shipping, receiving, production, and customer inventory issues as needed
  • Performs corrections and adjustments to production and batch orders in system
  • Assists with cycle counting and re-tagging stock as needed
  • Assists with coordinating and participates as needed in scheduled physical inventories
  • Assists with aged-inventory clean up as needed
  • Schedules and runs daily cycle counting journals in system
  • Audits production logs and postings for errors and adjusts
  • Reviews daily exception reports and make corrections/updates as needed
  • Keeps inventory variance records to retain variance history

Qualifications:

  • Skilled at customer service and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge of related inventory management systems
  • 4+ years of related experience preferred
  • Detailed oriented with strong strategic planning skills
