POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanized equipment and/or hand assembly of the necessary components used in the manufacture of vinyl and composite windows and doors.


Essential Functions:

  • Complete any/all production tasks assigned using the tools provided for the task, as instructed. Operate equipment and/or assemble items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure you have adequate product in your work area to support the workflow. Notify your Supervisor or Team Lead if there is insufficient material available or other issues are preventing your ability to perform your job at the expected pace needed to meet manufacturing goals.
  • Support your work group and all those you work with by maintaining a positive attitude, staying engaged, showing respect for others and demonstrating a willingness to cooperate in a team fashion.
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment necessary for the task being performed; ensure that PPE is functioning properly. Notify a supervisor if PPE is in need of replacement.
  • Understand, support and follow all company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Make it your goal to maintain good attendance. You are expected to be ready to work at the start of each shift and after breaks, report for work as scheduled and remain at work for the duration of the entire workday.
  • Maintain quality standards and observe dimensional tolerances, warp, appearance, color and all physical quality parameters through visual inspection and measurement.
  • Complete all necessary production paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Communicate issues and pertinent information to other production associates and management as needed.
  • Follow all safety practices to keep you and your co-workers safe at all times.
  • Maintain good housekeeping- do your part to keep a clean facility.


Requirements:

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50# without assistance
  • Exhibit good manual dexterity necessary to operate basic hand & power tools.
  • Ability to stand continuously up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Position Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and utilize a tape measure down to 1/16th-inch intervals
  • Ability to operate simple hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, knives and pneumatic or battery operated screw guns.
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic addition and subtraction of numbers
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
