Douglas Stamping Company keeps up with current and defunct tooling component standards while maintaining a large inventory to meet the needs of those building and servicing manufacturing and other equipment.


The Production Associate Position

The Production Associate will provide general support across the shop floor, assisting machine operators and other production staff with material handling, basic quality checks, packaging, shipping and receiving, and housekeeping. The Production Associate helps keep production running safely and efficiently by pitching in wherever needed across departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Help load/unload machines and support operators with general tasks
  • Move, sort, and stage parts and materials between work areas
  • Perform basic quality checks (visual inspection, simple measurements)
  • Assist with bending, stamping, etching by handling parts and fixtures
  • Package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment
  • Help receive, unload, and stage incoming materials and supplies
  • Pick, kit, and stage materials to meet production and shipping schedules
  • Complete basic production paperwork (travelers, checklists)
  • Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organized
  • Report quality or equipment issues to supervision
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use
  • Support cross-training and other shop floor tasks as assigned
