Job description

Applies knowledge of the quality function to assure compliance to our Quality Management System (QMS). Must perform work in accordance with all customer standards. This individual will be responsible for maintaining applicible quality systems as outlined below. Provides assistance to the production teams to verify compliance of finished products that are sent to the customers. At the same time this individual leads the steps required to address any gaps or failures in adherence to the QMS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Dimensional evaluation of production parts, first/last piece approvals, and audits as required by the quality system
  • Work with production associates to assure the proper usage of measurement instruments on the production floor
  • Work with production associates to assure the proper usage of inspection instructions on the production floor
  • Assist in the design and development of new quality systems
  • Perform special quality studies
  • Assist in problem solving of quality issues at customer facilities as needed
  • Prepare reports for customer review as needed
  • Provide feedback on dimensional concerns to toolroom, engineering, and manufacturing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
  • Supports and conducts training for both Quality and Operations staff on Quality standards, processes and new ways of working per Customer requirements
  • Supports regular tasks for the Quality leadership team including; time/attendance administration; reporting, etc.
  • Assists in the process of new product launches in the plant
