The Opportunity
The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is continuously evolving to meet the needs of today's players while driving responsible growth across our game portfolio. As we expand our offerings and strengthen our position in both traditional and digital gaming environments, we are seeking a strategic and innovative Product Manager, Lottery Draw Games to help lead this advancement.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape one of CLC's most visible and high-impact product categories. The Product Manager will guide the lifecycle of draw and Fast Play games๏ฟฝfrom concept development and research, to launch, optimization, and retirement๏ฟฝensuring our products remain competitive, engaging, and aligned with player insights and industry trends. Reporting to the Director of Lottery Games, this position serves as a key contributor within the Marketing Department, driving data-informed decision-making and collaborating closely with internal teams, external partners, and multi-state lottery groups.

Work Environment
This is a primarily onsite role based at our headquarters in Wallingford, Connecticut. We believe our best ideas come from working together, and our leaders are highly engaged with their teams. At the same time, we recognize the value of flexibility and support a work environment that includes limited remote work when business needs allow.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitors the game portfolios and recommends appropriate actions to maintain high performance. Knowledgeable of new games, trends, and promotions throughout the industry. Serves as the subject matter expert on draw and Fast Play games.
  • Researches new game concepts, designs, as well as add-on features and bonus opportunities for existing and proposed new games. Assists in new product development activities by collaborating with vendors and CLC departments to lead game development for introduction in market. Recommends and manages research projects working with gaming and research partners. Leverages existing research data to inform new game development and evolution of existing games. Assesses testing methods to make sure the results are accurate and reliable.
  • Manages the product lifecycle of draw and Fast Play games, monitoring KPIs, prepares analysis of game sales to identify any weaknesses, new profitable opportunities and recommends new draw and digital game introductions. Collaborates with CLC departments and vendor partners to support product lines. Works closely with the draw and Fast Play game vendor(s) and all Lottery departments to ensure successful game launches and ongoing game support.
  • Creates, reviews, and improves game development process. Additionally, evaluates and recommends game prize structure, ticket designs, game user interfaces, system software requirements, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Performs ad-hoc reports to translate data into meaningful insights in areas such as game promotions, sales performance, game profitability, game activity, and retailer activity.
  • Consults with Digital Marketing Manager & CRM Manager to define player segments and game promotions that drive overall performance of draw games sold though iLottery. Consults with Advertising Director to strategize multichannel advertising opportunities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of CLC's Gaming System and iLottery platform functionality related to product offerings, retailer equipment, promotion development, testing, and execution, and user experience.
  • Supervisor may assign additional tasks within the scope of this classification as necessary.
  • Collaborates with partner states and MUSL in the development of multi-state games. Acts as primary liaison between these groups and internal CLC stakeholders. Provides game data and information for industry publications, other lotteries, staff and stakeholders.
  • This position may involve some hours on early mornings, nights, Holidays and weekends.
  • Occasional travel for industry related educational opportunities and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business, finance or a related field.
Experience:
At least three (3), years of progressively responsible experience in product management/development experience.
Prior lottery experience is highly desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Ability to compile, analyze and present data through reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of new product development stages, project management techniques, basic statistical techniques, and MSO software.
  • Experienced in using Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and File Transfer Protocol.
  • Skills in handling massive amounts of data and translating data into actionable plans.
  • Strong understanding of product research methodologies and plan execution.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability for multitasking, prioritizing, meeting deadlines, strategic thinking, aligning stakeholder expectations, and marketing research techniques.
  • Ability to translate data into information and insights, collect, analyze, and interpret data. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written, including presentations to large groups.
  • Sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and highly accountable environment.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across an organization.
