Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Compliance & Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections, walk production floors to identify hazards, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Program Development: Help update safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response protocols.
- Incident Investigation: Support EH&S staff in tracking incidents, documenting findings, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect data for environmental reports (waste management, air emissions), manage safety metrics in Excel, and maintain chemical inventories.
- Training & Communication: Develop educational materials and deliver safety training to employees.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Current student pursuing a degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), excellent written/verbal communication, and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental health concepts is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk industrial/manufacturing sites frequently, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and occasionally lift up to 35-50 lbs.
Salary: The salary range for this position is $25.00/hour.
