D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Product Research Manager . The right candidate will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for defining and executing complex product research initiatives that influence the design, development, and evolution of digital products. This individual contributor partners with Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, Analytics, and executive leadership to address high-impact product questions, establish research methodologies, and translate customer insights into recommendations that improve business outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead complex qualitative and quantitative research initiatives that inform product strategy, user experience, and business decisions across multiple digital product portfolios

Partner with Product Managers, Product Designers, Software Engineers, Data Analysts, and business leaders to define research objectives, evaluate product concepts, and validate product direction

Select and apply appropriate research methodologies, including usability testing, in-depth interviews, surveys, field research, diary studies, concept testing, and mixed-method approaches

Analyze research findings from multiple sources to identify customer behaviors, unmet needs, usability issues, and emerging trends, translating insights into practical product recommendations

Present research findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through executive presentations, workshops, and strategic planning sessions

Establish and promote research standards, documentation practices, templates, and methodologies that improve the consistency, quality, and effectiveness of the Product Research function

Serve as a technical advisor to Product Researchers by providing guidance on study design, research execution, analysis techniques, and interpretation of findings while fostering professional development through mentoring and knowledge sharing

Evaluate emerging research methodologies, tools, technologies, and industry trends, recommending enhancements that strengthen research capabilities and improve decision-making across the organization

Participate in the evaluation and selection of research vendors, platforms, and tools by assessing capabilities, conducting pilot evaluations, and providing recommendations

Contribute to the development of long-term research roadmaps by identifying opportunities for future studies based on product priorities, customer feedback, emerging technologies, and evolving business needs

Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Abilitiy to travel overnight

Qualifications Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Marketing Research, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

Eight (8) or more years of experience conducting UX research, product research, customer research, or market research

Experience leading large-scale research initiatives supporting digital products, websites, mobile applications, or enterprise software

Ability to synthesize large volumes of research data into clear, evidence-based insights that influence product direction and business decisions

Expertise communicating complex research findings effectively through executive presentations, workshops, written reports, and stakeholder discussions

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications

Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

Experience with research platforms and integration of research findings with product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, and customer behavior data
