Job description

Launchpad Labor & HCM is seeking a Product Designer to help shape user-centered products and experiences that drive measurable value.

Position Summary

As a Product Designer at Launchpad Labor & HCM, you will design intuitive, effective product experiences by translating user needs and business goals into clear concepts and refined design solutions. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to explore ideas, validate direction, and deliver designs that are consistent, usable, and aligned with product strategy.

This is an onsite role in Fredericksburg, VA, where you’ll collaborate in person to turn ambiguity into thoughtful, high-quality design across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product design efforts from discovery through delivery, including defining problems, ideation, and iterating on solutions

  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs to communicate concepts and final recommendations

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, coherent, and meet acceptance criteria

  • Conduct or support user research and usability testing to evaluate design performance and guide improvements

  • Maintain design consistency through reusable patterns, documentation, and design system contributions

Required Qualifications
  • Experience designing digital product experiences, demonstrating strong UX and UI fundamentals

  • Ability to translate complex problems into clear design direction and practical solutions

  • Proficiency communicating design rationale through visual artifacts and stakeholder-friendly explanations

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes in a fast-moving environment

  • A portfolio that reflects product design thinking, including process and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation

Annual salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
