Responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager, Audio is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex technical production projects from concept through completion. This role partners with Account Executives, Market Project Managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop schedules and budgets, allocate resources, manage project risks, and ensure successful project delivery while meeting quality standards, client expectations, and company profitability goals.
Essential Functions
  • Partner with Account Executives, Market Project Managers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including milestones, workflows, technical layouts, and resource requirements.
  • Serve as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, providing creative and practical solutions to technical, design, and production challenges.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates while maintaining profitability targets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Coordinate internal departments, external vendors, and project resources to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including equipment lists, schedules, change orders, and project records.
  • Plan labor requirements and recommend onsite staffing based on project needs.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality standards, technical specifications, and client expectations are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all engineering, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and communication throughout each project.
  • Track project hours, expenses, and financial performance, providing regular status updates to leadership.
  • Analyze project costs, asset utilization, and profitability to support informed business decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient in the design, configuration, deployment, and support of advanced wired and wireless communications systems, including Riedel Artist, Bolero, and SmartPanel platforms, Clear-Com Arcadia, Eclipse, FreeSpeak systems, and other professional intercom, matrix, and audio communications technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience providing audio support for ENG, reality television, and film productions, including location recording, wireless microphone systems, IFB, timecode, and field communications.
  • Understanding of RF system design and best practices
  • IP networking fundamentals
  • AES67, Dante, VLANs, QoS, PoE, multicast, and network troubleshooting
  • Fiber optic communications systems
  • Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate client AutoCAD drawings and renderings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using asset management software.
  • Proficient with Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics, and d&b audiotechnik systems. Relevant certifications are preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in PRG CRM (Salesforce).
  • Thorough understanding of the company's products, services, and capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of product discipline architecture and onsite workflows.
  • Ability to identify and prepare all required safety and logistics documentation for projects.
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and evaluates their potential application to project engagements.
  • Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information professionally and tactfully.

Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of project management or project coordination experience within the entertainment or live events industry.
  • Fundamental knowledge of entertainment technology, production systems, and equipment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of entertainment design principles and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, mathematical aptitude, and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and related project management software.

CA, CO, IL, NY, NJ and NV: The pay range for this position is estimated to be $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data. Additionally, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions.
