Job Summary:
The Product Manager will be responsible for leading critical cross functional product development of new and existing product lines while identifying, understanding, defining, and prioritizing the future of our product assortment to support our business growth plan. The position will be responsible for product assortment, marketing, programs, promotions, product pricing, vendor negotiations, product training, monitoring, tracking, and analyzing product performance, product SKU maintenance, and managing non-performing inventory for parts and supplies across product sectors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain sales strategy with regional representatives for all wholesale product offerings for all sales channels.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and communicate all facets of new product introduction from strategy to pricing, marketing, PIM coordination, inventory planning, product roll-out and execution on all product offerings in all sales channels for Parts and Supplies.
  • Evaluate competitive product and pricing data. Communicate with factory and sales teams on advantages and disadvantages, product gaps and voice of customer.
  • Recommend sell price positioning (max and min) to maximize market share and company profit margins.
  • Partners with Regional Pricing and Demand Planning groups to create assortment, pricing, and stocking levels for the Region.
  • Conduct regular visits to regional branches to execute performance checklists, audit local product needs, and ensure alignment with HQ strategic initiatives.
  • Lead regional requirements for branch merchandising, showroom displays, and planogramming initiatives to maximize parts and supplies product awareness
  • Coordinate and manage specialized regional programs, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Factory Authorized Parts (FAP) requirements across identified sales channels
  • Identify, coordinate, and facilitate required product and technical training programs for internal regional personnel and external customers
  • Provide oversight and assist regional sell-through and disposition of all products, parts and supplies
  • Identifies and removes roadblocks and obstacles that may impair product launches, execution, and deadlines to ensure we meet strategic, sales and marketing goals.
  • Develop, implement, manage internal, external and factory marketing programs in conjunction with both Carrier Enterprise HQ and Regional Marketing Directors.
  • Drives new and existing products through the stage gate process and facilitates full product execution launch. This includes but not limited to managing model supersedes, new SKU set up and designation through all stages of stage gate.
  • Defines and drives objectives on product launches and promotions providing the Concept, Features & Benefits, Customer Segmentation and Pricing Strategy.
  • Coordinates with Carrier Corp Regional Product Specific Sales Manager activities with sales team.
  • Provide oversight on all products for CE Regional reporting on a monthly/quarterly cadence for CE leadership, Carrier Corporation, and share-holder review.
  • Conducts vendor mid-year and annual reviews on movement, marketing plans and reviews performance feedback.
  • Support sales teams in all customer channels with joint customer sales calls.
  • Provide oversight for overall regional product specific Market Funds in conjunction with the CE HQ Marketing department.
  • Manage repository of product and parts and supplies, sales, and pricing information to be accessible by all sales team channels.
  • Evaluate, understand, communicate, and manage State, Local Utility rebates impacting all products, parts and supplies segments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5+ years Product Management, Product Sales experience in a high-ranking HVAC or related Product Management position.
  • Proven track record in the HVAC industry, ideally in products, services, technology, product management or in a specialized sales capacity
  • Diverse experience in product marketing, product assortment planning, and new product introduction with the ability to leverage new product innovations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Salesforce
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of product strategy and its relationship to the Wholesale HVAC industry
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills
