At Rainbow Blossom, you'll find a professional environment that is supportive of both your career goals and your personal goals.Wellness Department Manager Job DescriptionThe Wellness Department Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Wellness Department, including ordering, receiving, merchandising, inventory management, and ensuring the department remains clean, organized, and profitable. This position is responsible for leading and developing team members assigned to the department while providing exceptional customer service and sharing knowledge of wellness products with customers and staff.The Wellness Department Manager works closely with the Store Manager and Wellness Category Manager to execute company initiatives, maintain department standards, and drive sales through effective merchandising and product knowledge.The Wellness Department Manager reports directly to the Store Manager with oversight from the Wellness Category Manager. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, not to exceed 40 hours per week.RequirementsExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.1+ years of retail management experience.2+ years of customer service experience.Desired SkillsDemonstrate leadership by setting a positive example, delegating responsibilities, and maintaining department efficiency.Coach and develop team members through ongoing training, feedback, and accountability.Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, ask questions, and provide clear direction.Deliver outstanding customer service by creating an engaging and welcoming shopping experience.Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while leading the department.Prioritize multiple responsibilities and remain organized in a fast-paced retail environment.Develop action plans and consistently follow through on commitments.Work collaboratively with the Store Manager, Wellness Category Manager, and fellow department managers.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.ResponsibilitiesOrder, receive, and merchandise products within the Wellness Department.Ensure deliveries are stocked accurately and efficiently.Maintain attractive, well-stocked displays that drive sales and enhance the customer experience.Monitor inventory levels, backstock, and product movement to maximize sales and profitability.Review department sales reports and product performance to identify opportunities for growth.Manage top-selling and slow-moving products to maintain an effective assortment.Train store staff on wellness products and how to confidently assist customers.Educate team members on the appropriate use of structure/function statements when discussing wellness products with customers.Supervise, coach, and support team members assigned to the department.Ensure regular inventory, expiration date, and operational audits are completed accurately.Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting department at all times.Promote a safe work environment by ensuring company safety procedures are followed.Attend monthly meetings with the Wellness Category Manager and Store Manager.Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the department and the store. This list of responsibilities is intended as a general overview of the position. The Wellness Department Manager is expected to learn all aspects of the role and do whatever it takes to ensure the successful operation of the department, the store, and Rainbow Blossom.Physical RequirementsThis position requires lifting up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with occasional outdoor exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation. This position will occasionally require work in refrigerated coolers and freezers.
