The Field Diagnostics Engineering team builds the hardware and software diagnostic solutions that support field repair technicians and enhance the Apple customer ownership experience. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver these critical solutions and drive innovation within AppleCare.
Description
As the Engineering Manager for Field Diagnostics Engineering, you will lead a team that has proven itself by delivering high-quality hardware and software diagnostic solutions. You will build and nurture partnerships with cross-functional teams both within and outside of AppleCare. You will be hands-on, disciplined, and driven to succeed in a challenging environment, ensuring our field repair technicians have the tools they need to provide exceptional customer experiences.","responsibilities":"Lead, hire, grow, and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
Own and deliver end-to-end systems, from requirements through launch.
Apply Generative AI to improve engineering productivity and development workflows.

Experience with macOS or iOS system architecture, including security models.
Knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years in an engineering management role.
Experience programming in macOS or iOS ecosystems (Swift/Objective-C), including building and debugging system or application-level software.
Experience with computer architecture and hardware/software interactions.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $237,600 and $356,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
