Job description

Who We Are

At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it's cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It's how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.

Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K-12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We're headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.

If you're excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.

About the Role

The Product team is integral to KEV's success, driving product innovation, customer value, and delivery excellence across our platform. We partner closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver scalable, high-impact SaaS solutions and foster a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our growing team and work in close daily partnership with our scrum team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, building, and delivering product capabilities across key domains such as Payments, SchoolCash Accounting, or Fundraising. You will embed with cross-functional and distributed development teams, contributing directly to sprint execution, product adoption, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is execution-focused, client-obsessed, and process-minded, with experience in B2B SaaS environments - including coordinating with overseas or distributed engineering teams - and a strong track record of shipping impactful products.

How You'll Contribute

  • Partner directly with the scrum team - participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep delivery aligned with product priorities
  • Own and scale product operations frameworks (e.g., sprint cadences, planning rituals, execution tracking) - driving alignment between product strategy and delivery while improving organizational visibility
  • Design and implement scalable, repeatable processes - enabling operational efficiency, reduced friction, and increased team velocity across distributed and overseas development teams
  • Leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual coordination - contributing to productivity gains and smarter ways of working
  • Own and optimize the product and engineering tooling ecosystem - ensuring strong adoption, consistent practices, and improved execution quality
  • Build and maintain resource planning and capacity models - enabling leadership to make informed prioritization and investment decisions
  • Lead cross-functional operational initiatives - driving alignment across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve client outcomes
  • Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards - supporting data-driven decision-making and clear, transparent communication with stakeholders and clients
  • Partner with Customer Success, Support, and Engineering teams - ensuring smooth, well-documented execution across the product lifecycle from planning through release
  • Continuously identify and eliminate inefficiencies in process and handoffs - ensuring scalable workflows that support long-term client satisfaction and delivery quality

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or related roles within high-growth B2B SaaS environments (FinTech or EdTech preferred)
  • Proven experience working directly within scrum/agile teams - comfortable in ceremonies, backlog ownership, and day-to-day collaboration with developers and QA
  • Experience partnering with overseas or distributed engineering teams, navigating time zones, cultural nuance, and asynchronous communication effectively
  • Strong client-satisfaction mindset with an understanding of how product and process decisions impact client experience, adoption, and trust
  • Process-oriented thinker with a track record of designing and documenting scalable, repeatable workflows
  • Experience working closely with Customer Success and Support teams to close the loop between client feedback and delivery
  • Systems thinker with the ability to break down complex workflows and design scalable, effective solutions
  • Familiarity with AI-driven product capabilities or strong interest in applying AI to real-world product challenges
 What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation - We believe in rewarding great work with fair, competitive pay.
  • Meaningful benefits- Because your well-being matters; both at work and at home.
  • Retirement Savings Support - We help you plan for your future with company-matched programs, including RRSP matching in Canada and 401(k) contributions in the U.S.
  • Professional development - We invest in your growth with ongoing learning, stretch opportunities, and continuing education, including KEV Academy for onboarding and skill-building, plus KEV University, our online platform offering a wide range of courses.
  • Hybrid model - 3 days in the office to collaborate and connect, with flexibility the rest of the week.
  • Flexible PTO - Take the time you need to recharge with close to 4 weeks of vacation and a company-wide holiday closure
  • Office perks - Enjoy a fully stocked snack bar and occasional catered lunches-because we know that great conversations (and ideas) often start around good food.
Salary Range - $120,000 - 150,000
Note: This range reflects expected compensation at the time of posting. Final offers may vary based on skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
