POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for developing product line strategies and roadmaps which deliver profitable growth and meet market requirements. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing customer product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering to deliver successful products. The product manager works cross-functionally with all business departments to support the company's overall strategy and goals.

Define the product strategy and roadmap via multi-generation product/technology plans

Deliver business cases and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification

Work with customers to understand product needs

Understand regulatory changes and how it impacts products and strategies

Research and understand competitive landscape

Be an expert with respect to the products, applications, competition and the markets through use of available tools and resources

Develop the core positioning, value proposition and messaging for the product

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain and manufacturing in the product development process to ensure product requirements are met

Perform product training presentations to customers

Establish pricing strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals, while monitoring and adjusting tactical pricing to ensure compliance

Deliver a monthly sales forecast and be a critical part of a monthly SIOP process

Support the development of sales tools and collateral

Support sustaining activities, such as material productivity, supplier obsolescence and shortages

Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
