JOB TITLE: Dispatch Manager, Building Materials
JOB LOCATION: SW Idaho
FUNCTION: The Dispatch Manager, Building Materials oversees the timely and efficient fulfilment of lumber orders to Sunpro Customers.
REPORTING TO: Building Materials Location Manager
KEY ACTIVITIES:
  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values;
  • Timely and correctly oversee the dispatch and delivery of materials to customers;
  • Gather information needed for deliveries and enter information in the computer;
  • Continually monitor demand, dispatch delivery trucks, and verify each load;
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation, reports, and sales records;
  • Oversight and maintenance of inventory;
  • Assist in the management of operational and sales activities;
  • Assist customers in problem resolution;
  • Review, understand, and adhere to Sunpro policies and procedures;
  • May prepare daily cash on delivery (COD), special bank deposits, and other COD preparation;
  • Maintain insurable driving record;
  • Oversight of yard vehicles and equipment;
  • Ensure compliance with all operations safety requirements;
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Ability to develop and mentor others & foster teamwork.
  • Basic knowledge of construction industry;
  • Effective organizational skills;
  • Strong computer and 10-key skills;
  • General mathematic skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physical Work Requirements - Medium/heavy: exerting up to 50 lbs of force regularly;
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment;
  • Regular exposure to the elements;
  • Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity
