YOUR ROLE

The Product Line Manager - Apparel (PLM) at Stio executes seasonal product commercialization, line plan management & go-to-market communication for assigned categories within the mountain apparel line. The PLM translates market intelligence, sales data & consumer insights into line plan recommendations that support revenue growth, margin targets & assortment efficiency.

The PLM manages the seasonal line plan in Centric, maintaining data integrity & information flow from line plan to forecasting, demand planning & marketing. The PLM builds product briefs, develops GTM presentation materials & communicates product positioning, features & end use to cross-functional partners. The PLM has key accountabilities in seasonal timeline adherence, MSRP validation, margin proposal development & cross-departmental asset creation.

The PLM partners with Design on product architecture & aesthetic direction, with Development on product execution & timeline coordination, with Merchandising on assortment alignment & channel needs, and with Marketing on go-to-market positioning & storytelling.The PLM reports to the Product Line Director; Domestic travel required 30% of the year.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze industry data & consumer insights to identify opportunities by gender, category & price
  • Create & maintain seasonal line plans aligned to financial, efficiency & positioning objectives
  • Write & present seasonal product briefs within Stio's product creation framework
  • Own line plan execution in Centric; maintain data integrity & forecasting flow
  • Develop style efficiency recommendations to improve key business drivers
  • Build & maintain cross-departmental assets for product range communication
  • Summarize seasonal GTM initiatives; align supporting styles with Marketing & Development
  • Deliver product presentations at GTM milestones for internal stakeholders
  • Propose & validate MSRP architecture per line plan, market value & margin targets
  • Validate target margin proposals per financial guidance, COGS & market value
  • Partner with Marketing on positioning & storytelling through line dives & GTM reviews
  • Coordinate with Development on seasonal timeline status & milestone deadlines
  • Communicate product updates & expectations to cross-functional partners

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, apparel design, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of product creation experience in outdoor, apparel, or accessories
  • Demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end product creation process & market landscape
  • Experience building & presenting line plans, product briefs & GTM materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google products & Adobe Creative Suite
  • PLM system experience required; Centric experience a plus
  • Effective visual & verbal communication with experience influencing cross-functional decisions

We provide competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives and benefits. The base salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of the range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
