Job description

Do you want to work hard, have fun, and create history? Do you think fast, dive deep, and get things done? We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to join our team to ensure that the core of Alexa is always learning from customer actions.
The role requires an entrepreneurial product manager who is passionate not just passionate about technology, but is able to translate the benefits of the technology to our customers. If you enjoy leading technical product innovation to build products and experiences that are used by millions, then join our team.
You will be the voice of the customer and responsible for driving a product roadmap that enables us to build delightful and useful proactive experiences for customers. You will have the responsibility of inventing on behalf of our customers and advocating for their needs throughout design, build, and launch. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring business impact by diving deep into metrics and customer inputs. This position also needs you to work closely with engineering and science teams, be hands on and comfortable in building with LLMs and Agents in bringing your vision to reality. You should have a positive attitude of continuous improvement, and strong work ethic; you will work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly.
Key job responsibilities
- Think big to create product vision/feature proposals for how self-learning can be applied to models and agents.
- Influence multiple teams to build cross-cutting products and customer experiences with a significant scope.
- Dive deep and partner with engineering and science team members and partner teams to write vision and execution documents and building prototypes as needed.
- Continuously absorb and share knowledge about the latest product and scientific developments relevant to the ML/AI space
- Mentor and support other team members
A day in the life
This role requires high ownership in imagining, building, and driving projects to reach the customer. This will involve working with scientists and engineers to develop proposals for products, potentially prototyping them, winning approvals and driving to delivery. Doing this requires them to be highly self-driven.
About the team
Our mission is to to drive innovation in AI systems and models to deliver indispensable assistant experiences through Alexa for customers across all languages, modalities, and devices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience technical product management
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Master's degree (MBA or Masters in Computer Science or related field).
- Experience working with ML systems, experience working with science teams that fine tune LLMs.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
