Job description

Own the end-to-end product experience of Metix AI's recruiting agent, covering the employer workspace and candidate-facing touchpoints, and turn designs into runnable prototypes with product and engineering.

About Metix AI
  • Metix AI (formerly OpenJobs AI) is building an end-to-end AI recruiter for global markets. Mira coordinates five specialized sub-agents and delivers qualified interviews, not just software features. We search 860M+ profiles across 190+ countries, have closed a $5.5M seed round, and launched on Product Hunt with Product Hunt CEO Rajiv Ayyangar as our hunter. Public customers include TikTok and MiniMax.
  • This is a founding product-design seat. You will own the employer workspace and candidate-facing experience of an AI recruiting agent, and you will work in a vibe-coding workflow with product and engineering so designs become runnable prototypes, not only Figma files.
What you'll do
  • Own the end-to-end product experience of the Metix AI recruiting agent, covering both the employer workspace and candidate-facing touchpoints, in close collaboration with product and engineering.
  • AI agent product design: visibility into the agent's working process, human-in-the-loop review, how outcomes and reports are presented, and how to build user trust in AI agents.
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers in a vibe-coding workflow: use AI coding tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex to turn designs directly into runnable front-end prototypes and components, shortening the path from design to production.
  • Extend the official Metix AI brand into a product design system; define and maintain design standards for consistency and usability across the product.
  • Continuously improve the design based on user feedback and data, owning key experience metrics such as conversion and retention.
Who you are
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate. This is an onsite-first role.
  • 5+ years of product design experience, primarily on web products, able to independently own a 0-to-1 design practice: user research, interaction design, visual design, and design systems. Portfolio required.
  • Experience with B2B SaaS or two-sided platform products; you understand how the experience differs for business customers and individual users.
  • Able to independently design English-language interfaces and write English UX copy; experience designing for North America or other overseas markets preferred.
  • Fluent in Figma and similar tools; a heavy user of AI agent and LLM products, with your own point of view on agent interaction patterns.
  • Vibe-coding capability: able to build a design system and produce runnable front-end prototypes or components with AI coding tools.
  • Strong visual taste and communication skills; you keep up with the latest in UX and interaction design.
Bonus points
  • Online recruiting or HR Tech product experience.
  • Mobile design experience.
