Audience Acquisition Lead - Fintech Meetup

Division: Fintech Meetup

Reports to: EJ Quinn, Community

Location: New York, USA (Hybrid)

A bit about us

We’re Hyve – organizer of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events. As the chosen event partner to many of the world’s leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies – helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth, and connect with the people who matter most.

Our portfolio features some of the world’s leading events across fintech, healthcare, education, retail, and ecommerce. We're growing fast through a combination of organic innovation and an ambitious acquisition strategy, bringing exciting new communities and products into our portfolio.

Fintech Meetup is redefining what a fintech event can be. Through market-leading content, the industry’s leading meetings programme, and an expanding portfolio of networking experiences, we're creating the most valuable place for the global fintech ecosystem to meet, build relationships, and grow their business.

This is an exciting moment to join. Since the event joined Hyve, we've invested heavily in building an exceptional team, strengthening our products, and accelerating growth. With those foundations now firmly in place, we're looking for an outstanding commercial leader to help shape the next chapter.

Think that sounds good? Wait until our talent acquisition team tells you about the culture.

A bit about you

First things first: whatever your background, beliefs, or ambitions, there's a culture of belonging at Hyve, and everyone is welcome. The question isn't where you've come from, but where you want to go.

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, collaborative, and commercially minded, with the drive to deliver outstanding results. You'll be proactive, adaptable, and confident taking ownership, with a willingness to get stuck in and make things happen. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace change, and are always looking for opportunities to learn, improve, and create impact.

Most importantly, you're a team player who takes pride in your work and understands that delivering exceptional events sometimes means rolling up your sleeves and supporting colleagues during the busiest periods of the event cycle.

If you're motivated by challenges, excited by growth, and eager to contribute to a high-performing team, you'll fit right in.

A bit about the role

This role reports to the Community Director – Fintech USA.

Fintech Meetup is the premier meeting place for banks, credit unions, startups, investors, and retailers.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Delegate Sales Manager to lead delegate acquisition, grow delegate revenue, and drive attendance growth across key audience segments.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal sales, marketing, and community teams to develop and execute delegate sales campaigns, manage audience acquisition plans, and maximize delegate revenue.

This is your opportunity to help shape the future of an industry-leading event. A results-oriented event delegate sales professional with a proven track record in conference delegate sales and audience development will thrive in this role.

The excitement doesn't stop at Fintech Meetup USA. You'll roll straight into the next events in the portfolio, playing a key role in delivering world-class experiences throughout the entire year.

As part of your job, you’ll be: Delegate Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and implement delegate acquisition strategies to achieve attendance and revenue targets for FTMU USA.
  • Identify, prioritize, and penetrate key audience segments, including mining companies, government representatives, financial institutions, EPCs, technology providers, and industry associations.
  • Build and manage delegate sales pipelines to ensure consistent delivery against targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and campaign effectiveness.
Campaign Planning & Execution
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Community teams to develop targeted acquisition campaigns across email, digital, content marketing, partnerships, and telemarketing channels.
  • Provide audience insights and sales intelligence to support campaign development and optimization.
  • Track campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize ROI and delegate registrations.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to position our event competitively.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sponsorship and Exhibition Sales, and Community teams to deliver a cohesive delegate acquisition strategy.
  • Develop relationships with industry associations, partners, and key stakeholders to support audience growth.
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships that drive delegate registrations.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting through internal systems.
  • Analyze delegate acquisition metrics, sales activity, conversion rates, and campaign performance.
  • Present regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve acquisition strategies.
Here’s what we’re looking for from you:
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in conference delegate sales, event audience acquisition, or B2B event sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding delegate revenue and attendance targets.
  • Experience managing telesales teams, outsourced agencies, or high-volume sales operations.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead management, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret sales and marketing performance data.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on revenue growth and customer acquisition.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns.
The benefits
  • Salary range of $85,000–$95,000, based on experience.
  • Competitive bonus structure.
  • Full medical, dental, and vision package to fit your needs.
  • Retirement plan with company match (401K).
  • Competitive vacation policy.
