Position: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Fond du Lac, WI, USA

Experience - Minimum 7 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, operations, or quality engineering roles

JD:

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with strong expertise in casting and machining processes, particularly aluminum castings. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, frequent onsite visits, and active involvement in resolving quality issues related to both current production and new product development.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage supplier quality activities for casting and machined components
Drive APQP, PPAP, and engineering change management processes at supplier locations
Provide hands-on support to suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve process capability
Support new product development (NPD) and address launch and ramp-up quality concerns
Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure sustainable quality improvements
Act as a technical interface between suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams
Technical Skills & Expertise
Strong hands-on experience in casting processes, including:
o Aluminum castings: HPDC, LPDC
o Knowledge of other casting processes such as sand casting and high-pressure casting
Experience in machining of engineered components
Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management systems
Proven experience in supplier quality management and structured problem-solving methodologies
Ability to provide practical, shop-floor-level solutions to suppliers
