Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES FAB 9 is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Functional Electrical Test Characterization team. This role requires an organized individual with strong communication skills. The individual will have responsibilities to characterize signals from all sources (wafer test, kerf test, and inline), define and drive yield improvement projects while balancing the business objectives. The individual will be responsible for working across multiple teams within and outside of GLOBALFOUNDRIES and have both direct and indirect communication with customers.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Monitoring electrical performance tends, disposition of holds at electrical test, support general/urgent fab operational issues, analysis for material and change review board, abnormal product investigations, yield analysis, improvement plans
Support process module engineering activities to improve cost, cycle-time, and manufacturing robustness
Develop and improve yield characterization and data analysis methodologies to rapidly determine yield limiters, correlation to in-line defectivity, and electrical parametric signals
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering
Understanding of semiconductor technology, solid state device physics
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment
Aggressive learner and a strong team player, excellent analytical skills, on-time delivery of assigned work
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experience
Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning & organizational skills
Experience - 1+ years experience in semiconductor industry
Customer facing experience is a plus
